Environmental Impact of Bottled Beverages
Have you ever thought about the great impact the "disposable" beverage products we buy (like bottled water and soft drinks) have on the environment? If each one of us consumes 1 bottled water or soft drink every day, that's 365 bottles per year per person! (And some of us drink more than that, right?) So if there are more than 300 million Americans disposing of 365 bottles per year, that's about a billion drink containers per year! (Truthfully, that number had more digits than my calculator could handle, so I estimated!)
Seriously, here's how YOU and I can help the problem:
Create pure Durastill distilled water at home and fill reusable sports bottles. You'll be drinking the BEST water possible and you'll significantly reduce (if not eliminate) YOUR personal use of “disposable” plastic water bottles. Every ONE person who uses home-created distilled water in a sports bottle (and avoids buying plastic single-use water bottles) saves HUNDREDS of water bottles per year from reaching landfills and the environment. One family doing this can remove THOUSANDS of bottles per year from our environment.
When you must buy a single-use plastic water bottle, try to re-use it several times ... and then recycle it properly.
Become aware of the impact that disposable beverage containers (and those 6-pack carrier bands) have on our environment, and how they can harm our animal friends, both on land and sea.
