Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Distilled water is the purest water and contains nothing, but don't we need minerals in our water?
Answer: NOT the minerals found in ground water; we need minerals from plants. First you have to understand the difference between inorganic and organic minerals. Minerals dissolved in water are "inorganic," meaning our bodies cannot use them; only plants can use them and transform them into "organic" minerals - those we can utilize. Therefore, we should get our minerals from plants! It's like your Mama always said, "Eat your fruits and vegetables."
Here's how it happens. Water flows all around nature, over rocks and through soil. Water picks up and dissolves minerals and carries them along. These rock and soil minerals cannot be used by humans or animals ... only by plants. Like you learned in biology, only plants convert these inoranic minerals into organic minerals our bodies can use. Do you remember learning about photosynthesis? Plants take in minerals from the earth through their roots and, through photosynthesis, transform them into nutrients WE CAN USE for nourishment!
In the same way that we cannot get our minerals from eating soil or gravel, our bodies cannot use inorganic minerals dissolved in ground water.
Moreover, since the inorganic minerals in ground water cannot be used by our cells as nutrition, they are deposited in unwanted places in our bodies, causing degenerative diseases like kidney stones, gall stones, joint arthritis, arterial hardening and blockages, and more.
So ... eat your veggies!
Question: Doesn't distilled water leach minerals from our bodies?
Answer: Absolutely not! It's a myth that drinking pure distilled water removes valuable minerals from the human body. Actually, in research study involving cell biology, the opposite has been found to be true. Pure distilled water actually enhances mineral absorption in human cells.
